Pascal De Cubber: conference interpreter & translator
Not overly commercial, the more professional for all that
After four years of in-depth study, focusing on translation and conference interpreting into and from Dutch, French and Spanish, I took a master’s in Interpreting at the then ‘PHVT-Gent’ (now part of Ghent University). I subsequently did one more academic year dedicated entirely to English language.
After acquiring professional experience in the translation and interpreting service of Belgium’s Home Office, I started business as a freelance translator and conference interpreter in 1990, a job of work I still do with an equal measure of enthusiasm and dedication on a fully self-employed basis.
My specialities lie mainly in the legal, financial and socioeconomic field but, over the years, I’ve acquired experience and know-how in a wide range of other fields too.
Though we live in the Ghent area, our business is situated mainly in Brussels, but also (far) beyond.
